A UK Column interview with Raja Miah who has been campaigning against the rape gangs in his Northern town of Oldham and nationwide. Miah explains that this has been happening in plain sight. His journey started when he discovered the chairman of his local mosque was a convicted child abuser and this led to the opening of a can of worms which reaches the heights of local and national government. He is unafraid to list names but has brought down much trouble on his head. I do take issue with the lede of the piece, though; “Asian” grooming gangs. I haven’t seen any evidence of Japanese or Thai or Chinese or Sikh paedophile gangs and “grooming” suggests something like tidying up a horse or a dog. As Miah puts it, the vast majority of the perpetrators are, in his words, “Pakistani gangsters”, clan-based rape gangs protected by the governing Labour Party.
“This town [Oldham] is run by gangsters”
From the introductory text which accompanies the video:
“Sexual exploitation of children is the fuel that powers the British political system. As uncomfortable as that statement may make some of us feel, it is undeniably true. This is a deep rooted phenomenon that goes back decades, maybe even centuries. And it’s as true for the political ‘right’ as it is for the political ‘left’, as well as the wider British establishment.”
